Fall Update 10/3/17

Thanks for checking out our website. Well we are coming up on our mid-semester point and the chapter is going strong. Brothers are studying and doing well in school and brother relations are great. Since our last update we have had more home football games with great tailgates, most notably our alumni tailgate this past Saturday against Mississippi State. Also this past weekend Sig Ep co-hosted the annual Zeta-Sig Ep Volley-for-a-Cure philanthropy. This event was a volleyball tournament, which consisted of a round robin portion and then moved into a championship bracket style. We had a great turn out with about 12 teams signing up and raising money for the cause. Looking forward we have a big weekend coming up with a big name performer called Louis The Child and Ole Miss game on Saturday. The Brothers look forward counting a great fall semester and acing mid terms!

Thanks again for checking in!

Fall Update 9/7/2017

Hello!

I will start by saying thanks for checking out our website. We have been going strong on campus since 1908 and we are continuing to grow our chapter. This summer we had a successful rush, ending with 51 new members. We are excited to get these young men in our chapter to further continue our fantastic brotherhood. Comping back this fall brothers have arrived to multiple newly renovated areas of the house. We have completely redone the kitchen with new walls, light fixtures, granite counter tops and new table and chairs. Moving through the house we have a new grand entrance with a new massive chandelier and staircase. next we have our brand new Doc Room with leather couches, chairs, study tables and big screen tv. this room serves as a place to study, relax, watch big games and entertain guests. Lastly we have a much needed renovated band room. The band room now has new central heating and air, plenty of lighting, now floors walls and ceiling. The band room serves as our chapter room for meetings and, as the name alludes to, where we have our bands play for parties. These innovations have been long awaited and we are beyond thankful to our Alumni Board who have helped make this happen.

This past Saturday we hosted our first fall tailgate. We saw a wide range of brothers, alumni, and families at our tailgate and we welcome all who are affiliated with Sig Ep to our next tailgate.

Our brothers are involved in Auburn Intramural League this fall. We are competing in flag football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, racquetball, and soft ball. Update Post 9/04/2016

Weekly Update

These past few weeks have been very busy here at Alabama Alpha. Our parents weekend was another success as we had parents from all across the nation come and gather for Auburn's homecoming game against Louisiana-Monroe. As we do every year, awards were given out at this years parents formal to certain individuals voted on by our chapter. The list of awards and recipients are as follows:

Brother of the Year Award (someone who never lets a brother fall by the wayside even through tough times): Colby Stevens, The Dakota Parker Award (someone who strives to make their fellow brothers feel loved and someone we can always count on to put a smile on our face): Kenneth Sigler, The Doc Award (The brother who is constantly excelling in academics while also sacrificing his time to help others in need with school): Alex Barlow, The Pledge of the Year Award (someone who exhibited all the qualities of a true Sig Ep during their pledge ship): Johnston McCutcheon, The Nick Huntley Award (Recognizing a brother for his outstanding commitment to better the lives of those around him): Conner Davison, and last but not least the House Dog Award goes to Forrest Stevens for his always loving attitude and way of impressing anyone with his tricks and ability to catch anything in the air when thrown at him.

Renovations are coming along very nicely with our kitchen being finished this week. Our Doc room (study room) is continuing to be worked on every day and we are excited to see the finish project! This past week we had the honor of formally inducting Mr. Jeff Huntley into the our chapter as an honorary brother. Mr. Huntley has shown true passion and commitment to our chapter dating all the way back to when his middle son Nick Huntley began to pledge back in 2012. Now, four years later, he and his family return to our chapter regularly as their youngest son, Matthew continues his Sigmaship.

It's midterm week here at Auburn and we look forward to excelling in academics as we do regularly. Our flag football team has gone onto the Intramural Playoffs and we are hoping to take gold.

Fall break begins next Friday so we wish everyone safe travels!

Thank you for reading.

Weekly Update 8-31-15

The Sig Ep house has been very active the last couple weeks.  From a very successful rush to looking forward to our house renovation, we are excited to start the semester off with a bang.  We are also excited to welcome over 50 new members to the fraternity and get to know each and every member and help build balanced men.

As always, academics are a focal point for our chapter. We are striving to start this semester off successfully as well as get involved on campus to better ourselves and Auburn.  We have a proud tradition of our members being involved on campus. Whether its in SGA, IFC, Camp War Eagle, Student recruiters, or countless other organizations, we are proud of our members who continue to get involved on and off campus.

Great things are coming this semester and we look forward to improving not only the house but the experiences of all who are affiliated with Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Weekly Update August 17, 2015

Classes start Monday, August 17 and the campus is already starting to buzz with the freshmen dorms opening up for move-in.  With sorority rush coming to an end, the focus now shifts to fraternity rush and the start of classes.

Coming to college can be an intimidating experience but with multiple welcome rush events it's also a very fun and exciting time.  If you are still interested in rushing and are just now getting to campus, there is still plenty of time to stop by the house or contact a rush chair and get to know the brothers!

The amount of opportunities when deciding to rush and join a fraternity are endless and will open doors to experiences that you will never forget.  Even if you are hesitant to join Greek life, give it the old college try and check out what fraternities have to offer!

Have a great move-in and start to classes and hopefully we see you up at the house for Corey Smith on Thursday, August 20th for the Catalina Wine Mixer!

Welcome to Auburn, Class of 2019!
